Kaylee Gibson is a multidisciplinary artist. She is a movement director, dancer, writer, and healing arts practitioner. She grew up on the Central Coast of California, where the Redwoods and Santa Lucia mountains meet the Pacific Ocean. The landscape instilled within her a deep sensitivity, highlighting the relationship between landscape, embodiment, and creative expression. She began studying ballet as a child and continued her training with the Joffrey Ballet in New York City. Her movement practice gradually expanded into contemporary performance, somatic inquiry and meditation.

In 2015, she formed The Movement Sessions, a project based performance series bringing together artists, dancers and musicians in unique spaces to explore ideas through presence. She has curated, choreographed, and performed immersive works in Los Angeles, Mexico City and beyond.

Her writing and interviews exploring culture, ecology, and the human relationship with the natural world have appeared in Autre Magazine amongst others. Her vision is to create works rooted in harmony, within oneself, one another, and our larger collective body, planet Earth.

Kaylee began practicing yoga at thirteen alongside her mother in Carmel Valley, where she discovered practices that brought harmony to the body, mind, and spirit. She later studied Integral Yoga with Swami Asokananda in New York City and has continued to explore meditation and contemplative traditions through years of practice and study. A formative encounter with a Thai Buddhist monk during a three-day cross-country train journey inspired a lifelong commitment to meditation, which she later deepened through extended practice at Tassajara Zen Mountain Center. Her studies have also included movement therapist Dominique Sire, Sufi Sheikh Ihab Balha, and Indigenous elders.

Alongside her artistic career, Kaylee offers private sessions integrating meditation, yoga, breathwork, somatic awareness, and energetic healing. Drawing from years of study across contemplative, movement, and healing traditions, she creates spaces that support nervous system regulation, embodied awareness, creative renewal, and a deeper relationship with one’s own inner wisdom.

She has facilitated workshops and gatherings ranging from movement collaborations and performances to retreats, and embodied practice in California, Europe, and beyond. Whether creating a performance or holding space for an individual, her intention remains the same: to cultivate greater presence, awaken the intelligence of the body, and inspire new ways of seeing, relating, and being.
